Blogging a dead horse

I guess bloggers have all woken up to the fact that they're a threat to democracy, and in line with recent moves by the Clark Government (all enthusiastically endorsed by the National Socialist opposition) all bloggers are to be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, regulated, licensed and numbered? Liberty Scott has the 'details':
In response to widespread community concern about the untrammelled and biased perspectives presented in New Zealand political blogs, the Minister of Information Technology, Daffid Cantliffe announced that all blogs would be subject to a licensing regime and be subject to regulation by the Broadcasting Standards Authority.

I'm glad I live in the US so I can call that old cockknocker Jimmy Carter an anti-Semite without fear of the Leftyloon nannies slapping me with a mopery fine.

Are they goin to figure out a nifty way of regulating comments left by your international readership??

Bwahahahahahaha!

Do you think we could get them to add stiff penalties for believing everything you read on the internet?

I think that it intended mainly to unbundle David Farrar's blog site. The other thing is that his blog is hosted locally so he would be affected.

I read that and decided to write my own humourous post on my blog. It seems david Cantlivewith wants to unbundle Google New Zealand and Telecom now.

It seems John McCain wants to regulate comments and fine bloggers.

He has introduced legislation that would treat blogs like Internet service providers and hold them responsible for all activity in the comments sections and user profiles. Some highlights of the legislation:

– Commercial websites and personal blogs “would be required to report illegal images or videos posted by their users or pay fines of up to $300,000.”

– Internet service providers (ISPs) are already required to issue such reports, but under McCain’s legislation, bloggers with comment sections may face “even stiffer penalties” than ISPs.

A great joke isn't it you lot.I'm not laughing.

We're all laughing guys, but it is the sad truth that one day this might come to pass. Will even probably. Jokes likes this come to close to reality.
