Not PC stats for February … still looking for Alaskans

Waitangi month, i.e., February, saw a gratifying rebuilding from the summer holiday month that was January -- which while very good for bloggers and blog readers, was very bad indeed for blog stats. And as the “first-hundred days” programme of the Key Government eases to a close with clear evidence that National MPs really were born to be mild, it also disclosed that handling the economic crisis hadn’t really been on anyone’s election agenda.

PC, I disagree. Libertarianz were shouting from the rooftops that not only were we in a serious crisis, but that the policy prescriptions, to the extent that other political parties even addressed the crisis, would only deepen the recession and put off a final recovery.
The talk coming out of the job summit again demonstrates that they do not understand the laws of economics. If my students were to present such irrational suggestions in their coursework - I would be deeply troubled.

Congratulations on your blog stats by the way.

Julian

I'm in AK and have been reading and enjoying your blog for since November. I imagine I'm not showing up in the stats because I usually read via RSS.
