Bring out your dead?

You don’t find much truth in journalism, particularly not when there’s some disaster porn to talk up, so let’s see if we can find any truth in film – or humour in disaster.

Here’s Monty Python:

And here’s a children’s story.

How are we doing?

You have to laugh at the TV lately.

First you've got that wretched traffic cop mistress claiming that the weekend road toll made her "physically sick". Then in the next breath claiming that the government needs to put more money into "road policing".

Next you have some state flunkey up at the hospital stating how they will "keep planning and monitoring the situation as we have been doing" should the flu spread.

These parasites have no productive role and achieve nothing of value. They know it. They are desparate to appear to be important- important enough that the government should continue to fund them, indeed to be even more generous directing OPM (other people's money) into their grasp. What a waste.

You have to laugh at all the twisting and turning, the cheap rationalisations and shallow, childish fibbing. In the end these people are utter without competantance or use. No-one needs them. Has John Key worked that out yet? Will Bill English start cutting back on the vast expenditure wasted on such creatures?
